The Canadian Invasion has come! MajorDilemma called yesterday to see if next week was clear for the run that was blown last June when he forgot his passport. We went right over to a camping store to get the consumables (stove fuel, camp meals, a few bits of string) and we leave next Wednesday for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and the famed Cabot Trail.
We’ll be camping nearly each night along the beaches and national parks.
It will be two moderate highway days (400+ miles each) to get there, but then we can cut back to five days of only 100-200 miles each, make a couple loops of the Cabot Trail, eat our weight in lobster, and explore. Then the same two slab days home. I am glad we are camping but imagine it will not be too quiet in the middle of August. We are not making reservations and I am not worried about getting a site as walk-ins for two single tents, but I bet the RV hook-ups are all in full service.
