Ride Report: Gulf Coast

Now that we’ve collected the Tiger we are riding in both vehicles west. We took a long ride from Tallahassee to the FL-AL border; Perdido Key, AL, my first visit to the state. It was only 280 miles but the road along the shoreline is slow and took from 10am until 6pm, even with gaining an extra hour into CST.

We made a lighthouse hatrick pretty quickly, stopping at Carrabelle, St George Island, and Cape San Blas lighthouses early in FL. We also had a great shrimp lunch on the water. IMG_20160130_130826459_HDR

A large bald eagle flew above me about 30 feet up and of course that was pretty cool. Tyndall AFB, home of the Raptor, was right on the coast and the planes were visible but no pix of course. Overall, a very mild ride but beautiful. Follow our other blog: USbyus2016.com
